Silvano Meli: Former Swiss Ski World Record Holder Shares His Q Magnets Experience
Updated March 2026
More than 20 years ago, former Swiss ski champion and speed skiing world record holder Silvano Meli was introduced to Q Magnets by triathlete Andrew Johns. What began as a recommendation has become part of his long-term approach to managing the physical demands left behind by an elite sporting career.
Today, like many former athletes, Silvano experiences osteoarthritis in his hands and knees. Maintaining joint mobility and staying active remain important priorities.
In his own words:
A Life-Changing Recovery Following Serious Injuries
He wrote:
“Since this time, the magnet is in my life. I wear it every day and I also use it during and after bike riding.”
Silvano also recalled that his doctor was surprised by the improvement he experienced and described Q Magnets as having been “revolutionary” for him.
